You Won’t be Taking a Gamble at the Amazing Four Seasons Hotel…It’s a Sure Bet

Traditional high tea at the Four Seasons

Robin Roth

In the city that has everything and the best of it, the Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas (undeniable magnet for international travel) creates a classic niche of its own. Most hotels in the city offer more than 3,000 guest rooms and plenty of gaming. The Four Seasons is truly unique, as it is a non-gaming hotel and only has 424 rooms (including suites) which puts it in the best position to showcase individualized, personalized, stellar award-winning service with amenities and attention to detail. Here you will be surrounded by an oasis of serenity, an old-world understated elegance, charm and tranquility set in a warm residential feel. How wonderful is it to enjoy your Las Vegas stay in total style without having to go through a lobby filled with gaming and yet STILL be a part of all the action, entertainment, magnificent shows and world-class shopping of this magical city. An intimate retreat, the Four Seasons will spoil you with its signature pampering.

Experience the Art of Tea Time at the Four Seasons

While in the city, YOU MUST experience the very rare offering of traditional afternoon tea, served Monday through Thursday from 3pm (reservations required). This time-honored tradition of afternoon tea is created magnificently at the Four Seasons! We all know how special tea is in London, but I must say… they have nailed it here! After a full day of shopping in the city, gaming, enjoying the sun or whatever adventures you desire, guests will have this relaxing opportunity to leisurely savor one of the most established of English rituals in style. You will, without a doubt, enjoy your complete tea enhanced by attentive, friendly, and charming service.

May, my beautiful server, made this such a lovely experience. Complete tea, pastries, and sandwiches (presented beautifully on English Bone China) are all made fresh on the premises. You will experience (and devour) absolutely delicious, authentic, perfectly backed British scones served with Devonshire cream, home-made Strawberry Preserve and Lemon Curd. Even the memory is mouth watering. Also, a delight to your taste buds are the delicate and scrumptious Tea Sandwiches (which do change bi-monthly). I was served Roasted Rare beef (my personal favorite), Tomato and Cucumber minted truffle cream on sourdough, (a classic) Grilled Vegetables, spiced hummus, in a tortilla roll (delightfully creative) and Smoked Salmon, green asparagus and avocado on German dark bread (yummy)! Simply, divine.

On the third tray level, you will delight in some wonderful treats such as English fruit cake, Classic caramelized almond palmier, white chocolate raspberry shortcrust and fresh peach and Cream Savarin. (TO LIVE FOR!)

To complement this delectable spread, you will be able to select from a wide range of wonderful teas. This is such a lovely moment to enjoy and I have no doubt that this tea will also be one of your fondest vacation memories. Ladies, couples, family time or even business meetings, everyone will assuredly enjoy complete tea at the Four Seasons. This is a guaranteed WIN in Vegas. By the way, go ahead and add a glass of cold champagne to make this moment total perfection! Cheerio!

No Matter What, Enjoy Fine Dining at the Verandah Restaurant

Las Vegas is the city that explodes with culinary excellence, and dining at the Four Seasons is a leader in making this statement even more valid! Just walking into the Verandah is inviting.

Verandah is intimate yet spacious, comfortable yet sophisticated, chic yet exuding an aura of stunning, modern, casual elegance, charm, and above all simply amazing cuisine. Guests can enjoy the main dining area as well as the gorgeous outdoor area, al fresco on the garden terrace. You will feel as though you are dining at a Mediterranean mansion. The Verandah serves breakfast and lunch, as well as dinner.

With each service, the feel of the restaurant changes. I, however, want to speak (AND BRAG) about dinner. The menu features authentic Italian fare with contemporary influences. Sophisticated, innovative, signature dishes and varied regional and international dishes set the stage in this fine restaurant.

Some of the hotel’s dining success is due to THE 17-year veteran with Four Seasons Hotels and Resort’s Executive Chef Michael Goodman as he keeps the pace with the demand for culinary excellence and leads his team with flair and a passion for cooking.

If you are a diner who enjoys amazing foods, attentive, friendly (but not too friendly) stellar service, you will love this fine restaurant.

Let me begin by stating that you will never see finer presentations anywhere. The displays on each plate were so lovely you will actually hate to destroy it by eating. But YOU MUST! Though spectacular looking, they are even more spectacular to eat. One of the things I noticed, as well, are the food creations are filled with an array of creative textures, fusions of flavors that are bold and robust, yet delicate. You will experience wonderful combinations of tastes; absolutely brilliant.

Allow me to present you with some outstanding menu selections.

To start, I suggest (with all my heart) the Antipasto Misto. This is a food celebration as well as eye-candy presentation. This dish includes fine roasted goat cheese, pepper and polices, melone e prosciutto di parma, feta cheese, port wine reduction, and fried calamari. I want to state that I personally dislike everything on this plate and yet I ate every single morsel. I think that says it all. I also suggest the lovely Bruschetta rustica with oven roasted tomato and brie cheese, house smoked salmon and cream, parma ham, baby arugula, shaved parm and truffle oil. Out of this world delish!

For your entrée, these are musts. The Veal Piccata is a taste of heaven, the Pomegranate Braised Short Ribs rich, robust, and tender have been in my dreams since, the Grilled Beef Tenderloin was the best I have ever had and the Grilled Atlantic Salmon was filled with flavor and tender absolute perfection. All of the pasta dishes are outstanding as well. Readers, I would not be afraid to order anything on the menu. This is truly a food lover’s paradise! Most of the time, I found myself closing my eyes as I dined. My server, the ever-so-charming Antonio Salgado (who has been with the company for 16 years and loved every moment), made this fine food experience even more perfect. Furthermore, you must say hello to the more than hospitable and handsome restaurant manager, Alessandro Rossi, who at all times makes sure this restaurant delivers A+ food and service with style.

The dinner menu also includes a unique “my way” section from which guests select three items to create their own entrée, starch, and vegetable.

To end this memorable dining memory, I command that you end with both the Gianduja chocolate crunch cake and the oven roasted nuts and chocolate covered vanilla ice cream bars. Can I just say a huge WOW-WE-WOW-YUMMY! It’s okay if you have to add another dessert that you might also favor!

By all means, don’t forget to enhance your meal with your favorite bottle of wine; there are MANY from which to choose.

So there you have it, an A+++ restaurant that is a must when you visit Las Vegas. Whether you stay at the Four Seasons or not, (AND I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO FOR AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE IN YOUR LIFE), DON’T MISS OUT ON THE VERANDAH RESTAURANT!

P.S…… Also featured within the Four Seasons is Charlie Palmer Steak, owned and operated by renowned chef, Charlie Palmer.
