The MIRABELLE five star restaurant is one the most elegant, classy, stellar and romantic, restaurants in Rome. In my opinion the unparalleled food, impeccable service and exhilarating views are without a doubt, the finest and most excellent in the entire city! I absolutely cannot come up with enough adjectives to compliment this storybook dining experience in Rome. Simply put, it is a gift to your 5 senses.

Everything about this amazing establishment is bella, bella, bella, PERFECTO!

The class and undisputed professionalism of Bruno Borghesi, is what has given this restaurant its brilliant reputation. The Splendide Royal Hotel hosts the renowned Mirabelle Restaurant on the 7th floor. It sports huge glass terrace doors that open out onto the Roman view of awe-inspiring beauty. From here, I enjoyed complete bliss, sipping a fine glass (or 3) of Blenero Banfi, while basking in the awesome panorama.

The vista sweeps across the city from the 19th century palaces of Pinciano, Villa Medici, Trinità dei Monti all the way to Saint Peter's and to the Gianicolo.

This gorgeous and breathtaking rooftop garden view is right in the heart of Rome and is quite magical! This is a vision that is permanently marked in my memory chip of thrilling restaurant memories. I felt as though I were in paradise on this perfect May afternoon with its gentle cool breeze dining at the Mirabelle Restaurant.

In addition to the rooftop dining, there is also, the elegant, chic, beautifully furnished and posh ambience in the restaurants dining room; with its stunning paintings on the ceiling, filled with mirrors and decorated with some decor brought from China.

Here, guests can also, relax like royalty and experience the same impeccable service, while savoring  the exquisite dishes, and admiring the enchanting panorama .The decor  of pale gold is luxurious, with soft lighting, fresh flowers, lavish crystal glasses, lovely plates, vases and antique porcelains. The painstaking attention to detail compliments the spectacularly excellent food, views, hospitality and service. The Mirabelle restaurant uses combinations of perfect ingredients to bring its guests brilliant and creative dishes. The chef creates flavors of the earth, yet still keeping in the traditional Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. All of the breads, cakes, egg pastas and fillings are made on the premises. You can always tell!

This restaurant is not only a gift to one’s eyes, but also one’s taste buds which are abundantly pleased thanks to the culinary skills and brilliance of Stefano Marzetti the Executive Chef. Marzetti’s talents have been refined through occasions spent working in prestigious establishments abroad and around the world. The chef uses the finest ingredients brought from their original places to guarantee delectable flavors and textures while creating plates that are presented visually artistic and beautiful.

Mirabelle’s charm, magnificence and great quality has made it part of the Michelin Guide, which is in charge of presenting the best food places in the world. I for one cannot agree more!

Although, every dish on the menu is superb, allow me to suggest of few items not to be missed:

To start: go with the Vegetable Minestrone with spinach and pearl barley. It is packed with yummy vegetables and the flavor is authentically perfect with an old fashioned essence.

For Fish:  The Sea Bass with artichokes, wild asparagus and ginger perfume mollusks, is scrumptiously delicious and mouth watering.

Dessert:  Dessert at the Mirabelle is nothing less than a celebration of sweetness with every selection. I went to heaven with the, “Seventh Heaven”, Chocolate, Hazelnuts Heart and Gold Nuggets. This is sinfully delicious and every bite a sweet memory!!! I would fly to Rome just for this dessert alone.

Everything about this glorious restaurant exceeded all of my expectations. It is absolutely a super star of restaurants! Out of all the restaurants I have ever reviewed around the world, this is definitely at the very top!!  Yes, Rome is filled with treasures, history, so many famous landmarks and so much to see. BUT, the Mirabelle is definitely one of Rome’s’ treasures!!!
