BILL MAHER IS A COMEDY GENIUS AND The Funniest Man on the Planet……

IT IS SUCH A JOY TO WATCH BILL MAHER, WITH HIS INTELLIGENT, WELL THOUGHT-OUT, CURRENT, UP-TO-THE-MINUTE, DARING, CONTROVERSIAL, and GENIUS LEVEL OF COMEDY. I would have to say Bill Maher is not only the BEST comedian of our time, but a brilliant comedy writer. I know if you are a Republican, you might not feel that way, but you have to admit, the man does get you thinking if nothing else! He also makes a lot of sense! Appearing at the Orleans Hotel May 29-31^st, Maher enters the stage running, while blurting out every political thought he has on his mind. I just cannot tell you how funny he is. By the thunderous sounds of the audience’s laughter and applause after every joke, they felt the same way I did. He had the crowd at hello. He speaks on President Obama in every possible angle, why he thinks he is such a terrific president, and why the Republicans don’t like him etc. He reiterates that he loves America, as it has been said many times that he doesn’t! He explains he just doesn’t love every single thing about it and why he feels that way. Okay, yes, he does speak a lot about Bush, and the Republican leaders and their views, but ya know what, how can he not! After all, he is THE master of political comedy!

He bashes all the other political figures on both sides! He talks about sex, drugs, gay marriage, stem cell research, global warming, Iraq views, the church, and other current political topics. The audience was stuck in laughter mode for a full hour and 30 minutes and actually screamed for more. Sometimes it was hard to even hear the next bit due to the lingering laughter from the previous one. His sense of timing is impeccable! He lights up the stage with his personality alone. Nice smile too, I might add!

Maher goes on to speak about sexual scandals, legal drugs, the economy, the state of the union, the Pope, Reagan, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter and, of course, President Bush, again and again and again!

Allow me to share some of his background…William Maher, Jr., the American comedian, actor, writer, and producer, was born on January 20, 1956 in New York City and grew up in River Vale, New Jersey. Maher is the product of a "mixed" marriage (Jewish mother, Catholic father). He earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from Cornell University in 1978. Maher is famous for his political satire and socio-political commentary. He targets a wide range of topics, from bureaucracies, political correctness, Hollywood, hot political topics of debate, the war in Iraq, the mass media, and persons in positions of high political and social power, as well as the right- and left-wings. He is a big supporter of legalizing cannabis. Maher is also known for his stance against organized religion and marriage.  Man I like him so much, I wonder if I could change his views on the marriage thing…

Although Maher had been in numerous films, television shows, and specials, he is best known as the former host of the late-night television talk show “Politically Incorrect,” which aired on the Comedy Central television network and later ABC. He is currently the host and star of “Real Time with Bill Maher” on HBO.

Back in Vegas, Bill’s relaxed manner and style puts the audience at ease, which they need to be to laugh so much! Most comics have an act and repeat it over and over again without updating it for years! Not Maher. His comedy is up to the second, topical and factual yet with a twist of comedy. He crams three hours of comedy into an hour and a half. I could have listened all night.

I would rate Bill Maher’s show as THE NUMBER ONE funniest night of comedy I have ever witnessed. MAHERS SHOW IS AN A+, sensational, AND comedy perfection.

Don’t be afraid to come if you are not a Democrat. He picks on everyone! GO see him whenever he comes to your city.

I want to say a big Bravo to the wonderful Orleans Showroom and all those associated with it; especially the showroom manager Stacey who does a stellar job making sure everyone on and off the stage is happy and everything is running perfectly!

BY THE WAY, WHEN SEEING ONE OF THE MANY FAB SHOWS AT THE ORLEANS, DO STOP INTO THEIR AMAZINGLY VERSATILE BUFFET. WORTH ALL THE CALORIES, TRY NOT TO OVER INDULGE THOUGH. OH WHAT THE HECK, OVER INDULGE....
